Our Grade 7 class went to Silvermine Nature Reserve and walked up to Elephant’s Eye.
They spent the day having fun with each other while observing the natural wonders around them:
- a beautiful rainbow that formed above the lake at the beginning of the hike, the countless plants and how the cave was formed so many years ago.
It was also an exercise in perseverance as we began in the rain and had many rocks to navigate to make it to the cave.
It was also wonderful to see the children come together to help a friend when a minor injury occurred through the excitement.
