Email Policy
Why do we need your email address? Most importantly we need it to send you information regarding your donation payments etc. Of course we'd also like to keep you up to date on our activities and events happening at The Vine School. You can change your email settings under your account settings. Just click 'My Account' > 'Settings' > alternatively if you would not like to receive marketing or promotional materials from us, please click the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of the email.
Donations or Payment
We have a range of payment options available through our website to ensure a user friendly experience. Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express credit cards or by bank transfer into The Vine School bank account, the details of which will be provided on request. The protection of your account access details remains your responsibility and we urge you to change your passwords from time to time.
In the instance of a returned transactions or incorrect payment references provided, we reserve the right to terminate relevant arrangements or retract said offers that were made. Consequently, all bookings and/or transactions and agreements entered into will cease with immediate effect until such time as any and all outstanding monies are recovered in full.
The Vine School reserves the right, in the interests of preventing fraud, to refuse processing of payment for any transaction, partially or completely, where there are reasonable grounds to do so, with notice given to you.
Please note: The Vine School will NEVER ask you to provide sensitive or confidential information via email so please do not provide such information to anyone if asked to do so.
Payment by Credit or Debit Card
Credit card transactions will be acquired for The Vine School via Stripe. Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express credit cards or by bank transfer into The Vine School’s bank account via Stripe (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for Standard Bank of South Africa. Stripe uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.Stripe.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy. When you conduct a transaction, the transaction details are presented to the bank for authorization of the payment amount. If authorization is not obtained the payment is refused and the transaction is cancelled. If authorization is obtained, payment is usually immediate. By offering to make payment by credit or debit card you specifically guarantee that you are fully authorised to use the credit or debit card for payment and that there are sufficient funds in your account to cover the costs of the transaction.
Customer Details Separate from Card Details
Customer details will be stored by The Vine School separately from card details which are entered by the client on Stripe’s secure site. For more detail on Stripe refer to www.Stripe.com.
Merchant Outlet Country and Transaction Currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is The United Kingdom. Transaction currency is British Pounds (GBP).
Prohibited Uses
